Last week Lay's India also released their own MAXX line of deep ridged chips. India has a love affair with Ruffled chips and bold flavors so it's no surprise to see them expand to include the MAXX line. The 2 starter flavors are Sizzling Barbeque and Macho Chilli, which both sound well suited for these thick and crunchy new chips. As with all chips in India, they are 100% Vegetarian, and you can see the unique all-veggie skewer on the BBQ bag art. So if you are a fan of Vegetarian snacks, you may wanna hunt these down. Lay's India bags are sometimes available on Amazon so, maybe we will get lucky to find these online.
Are you interested in these? Do you wanna try a Vegetarian BBQ flavored chip? Tell us in the comments section below!

Contest: Lay's India Football Favourites- Cheesy Jalepeno, Apple Chilli, and Tangy Herb
The Lay's Universe is getting a ton of use out of Lionel Messi, lol. Not only is he a spokesman for Lay's here in the US (you know you saw that adorable commercial with the old man sneaking a chip from Messi's bag during the World Cup, it was on like every 2 minutes), but the commercials have been reused in multiple countries (some poorly edit the bag to be red instead of the signature Yellow, and then they edit it to show a local celebrity with him, it's hilarious). Messi has also been all over Lay's Spain's bags and website for the last year or so. And Russia has this exact same picture of Messi on their "Mystery" flavored bags. Finally though, Messi's appearance actually ties into a collection of Soccer inspired flavors; justifying plastering arguably the greatest living soccer player on their bags. The 3 flavors are "Cheesy Jalepeno", "Apple Chilli", and "Tangy Herb". Chip fans can vote on their favorite of the 3 and are entered in for a chance to win a trip to see Messi 'play live'.
Pretty good use of his star power if you ask me.
However, in my opinion, NOT A ONE of these flavors actually sound good. I'm slightly intrigued by Apple Chilli... but really... how is that even a thing? I know India likes some 'loud' flavors, but these flavors are screaming. India does take a bit of this into account though... as they make all their chips in "Ruffles" form. "Ruffles" do stand up to much more flavor, so they're probably a'ight.
So, would you call these Soccer inspired flavors? Or does it look like a chance to hock some chips in the name of Messi? Would you go out of your way to try one of these? Have you tried em?
Let us know down below...

Lay's India wants to know what you like
For the past few weeks Lay's India has been asking for their Facebook fans to share their opinions. They've been posting a few photos for comparison asking what their fans would prefer. It started with a larger group of bags asking fans which title they preferred....
This collection had a few familiar faces in it like 'Deep Ridged' and 'Kettle Cooked'. The other 3 have the same font and are likely newly created lines. They seemed to resonate with Indian consumers, because they chose 'Relish' and 'Gourmet'. The FB page then asked fans to choose between those 2 and they chose 'Gourmet'.
Now, Lay's India has asked fans to help them design the bags for an upcoming 'Gourmet' line...
These 2 pictures showed up asking fans which package design they preferred... personally, I like the White bags ;)
So, what does this all mean? Well, for one, it sounds like Lay's India will be launching a new line, likely called 'Gourmet'. It could be a line similar to the 'Sensations' line that is out in many Countries.
If you don't know, Lay's India's regular line is ruffled like 'Ruffles' in the US, so it makes sense they would launch an un-ruffled range. It's also likely that these are some flavors that we might be seeing. So far the concept art has shown off "Sea Salt", "Sweet Chili & Sour Cream", and "Lime & Black Pepper". Something new is definitely overdue from India, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for more potential news.

Gotta Get At This: Lay's India French Salt & Cracked Pepper and Chile Limon
Two New Flavors!!! The lucky kids in India just got French Salt & Cracked Pepper AND Chile Limon, a double release. So Jealous. They are fairly straight forward, Chile Limon is a flavor we have here in the states and also I've seen it in a lot of middle eastern countries. Here in the States, its one of my faves, its spicy and sour but in the end it is all balanced out and tastes great on chips. Salt and Pepper is also fairly straight forward, most countries have some type of Salt and Pepper chip. We have it offered here in the States in the Kettle Cooked range. I don't love the US variety because to me it was all pepper and no salt, but I can't say that India's would have that problem. It's nice to see India is always willing to have a huge line of different products, they seem to always be expanding. Congrats India! PS, as always in India, Lay's come standard as Ruffles. They will always be Ruffle-cut unless they say otherwise. Just a tip incase you are looking to hunt these down :)

Gotta Get At This: Lay's India Guess Whose Flavour? Contest

The flavors are Oz Cheese 'n' Onion Cut, Jamaican Spice Shot, Coastal Pepper Blast, Western Mirchi Blast, Eastern Chili Mustard Hit, and Royal Herb n Chili Punch.
Note that Lay's in India come standard as Ruffles chips... so it's likely that these are Ruffles.
Sounds like a fun opportunity for Chip fans to get some cray cray new flavors!! All Vegetarian of course! ;)
